When Babies Come Early*
A friend of mine had her baby boy early, 7 weeks early! 3lbs 8oz! I don't know any details, but I ask that if you have a moment please pray for this family - he is their first child and came unexpectedly early. I will try to update as soon as I have more information. *Seems baby is healthy*

If it brings you any comfort, Kaelen came 7 1/2 weeks early and totally unexpectedly. He was born at 5 lbs 5 oz 17 inches so was a great size. He spent the first week in an incubator because he couldn't maintain his temperature and was gavage fed (tube fed)for 2 weeks because he wasn't strong enough to suckle. After that, it was off to the races for him and he hasn't stopped yet.
I will certainly keep your friends little one in my thoughts and prayers, but know that these babies are very strong and resilient. Plus, they are in great care in NICU or SCU's. The nurses and doctors there are fabulous! Please feel free to give your friends our name and contact info should they have any questions. I know that it is a scary experience and often a lonely one too. :)
Thanks Allie, it does seem that all is well (from what I've heard) and 'mom' seems in good spirits. I'm so excited for them, they are one of those couples that you just know will be great parents :)
